Jonathan B. Feibel, M.D.

Foot & Ankle

Dr. Jonathan B. Feibel is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon, ranked by Newsweek Magazine as the 6th best foot and ankle surgeon in the United States and the #1 in Ohio. With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Feibel provides expert care for foot and ankle deformities and fractures, bunions, diabetic foot conditions, and sports-related injuries. Patients consistently describe him as approachable, knowledgeable, and deeply committed to helping them return to an active life.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Feibel plays a leading role in protecting and shaping healthcare in Ohio. Appointed by Governor Mike DeWine, he serves on the State Medical Board of Ohio, a 12-member body charged with safeguarding public health and safety through the licensing, regulation, and oversight of more than 100,000 physicians and healthcare professionals statewide. He has held leadership positions on the Board, including serving as its President, and continues to actively guide medical regulation across the state. His service underscores his dedication not only to his patients, but to the integrity and quality of healthcare for all Ohioans.

Dr. Feibel earned his undergraduate degree from Duke University and his medical degree from The Ohio State University. He completed his residency at Mount Carmel Health System and went on to a prestigious foot and ankle fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic.

Passionate about education, Dr. Feibel serves as Assistant Program Director of the Mount Carmel orthopedic surgery residency program and is active in national organizations including the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons. Within the AAOS, he served seven years on the Board of Councilors and continues his leadership on the Coding, Coverage, and Reimbursement Committee. He has also served as a peer reviewer for Foot & Ankle International, the leading journal in the field, and has authored numerous articles and book chapters.

Dr. Feibel’s leadership and service extend well beyond the exam room. He was named to Columbus Business First’s “Forty Under 40” and recognized as a “Health Care Hero.” He has served on the Mount Carmel Foundation Board, is a past president of the Ohio Orthopaedic Society, and continues to serve on the Board of Jewish Columbus. Through all of these roles, Dr. Feibel prides himself on treating every patient with the same care and attention he would give his own family.
