Orthopedic ONE Recognizes CPR and AED Month

The month of June has been designated as CPR and AED Month to help raise awareness about Sudden Cardiac Arrest and promote the life-saving benefits of CPR and AED certification. According to American CPR Training, the goal is to have at least one person per household and one employee per shift in each department trained to provide CPR and use an automated external defibrillator or AED (www.americancpr.com).

All Orthopedic ONE Athletic Trainers and Physical Therapists are certified CPR and AED first responders. Some of our sports PTs and ATs have also completed advanced training through the Emergency Medical Responder Course provided by the American Red Cross. However, CPR and AED certification is not limited to medical professionals, click here for a list of CPR, AED and First Aid classes near you!
