When I first met with Dr. Smidt he made me feel comfortable with the plan he laid out for me! I am allergic to almost all narcotics so that was a huge concern for me! Dr. Smidt assured me that I would be a good candidate for his plan which included little to no narcotics. I had an injection in my hip with no relief! Next step was surgery! I had my LEFT hip replacement, and I truly expected so much worse!!! I truly had minimal pain. Maybe a 2 or 3 on the pain scale! When he tells you that you will do fine, believe him! Dr. Smidt knows his stuff!! With his combination of NON-NARCOTIC medications, I had minimal pain and only needed the Tylenol! You truly can have a total hip replacement and recover without taking NARCOTICS!! I DID and YOU can too!! HANDS DOWN THE BEST SURGEON AROUND!!!!
